Cavinx Studio, an independent transmedia creative studio based in Luxembourg, has announced the development of its flagship intellectual property, Imahi Sumaq. Designed from the ground up as a multi-platform narrative universe, the project brings together animation, music, illustration, publishing, and interactive experiences.
Founded by Peruvian-born creator and entrepreneur Maya (Maria Wijne), Cavinx Studio focuses on building original world-driven properties capable of expanding seamlessly across various media formats while maintaining a distinct visual identity.
A Universe Built Around Memory and Identity
Imahi Sumaq follows the journey of a young heroine searching for the truth behind her origins. Along the way, she is drawn into an ancient conflict where forgotten memories, hidden civilizations, and forces beyond her understanding begin to reshape everything she thought she knew.
Beyond its central adventure, the project tackles universal themes including identity, self-acceptance, legacy, and memory.
“Imahi Sumaq was born from a deeply personal and artistic vision,” explains Maya, Founder and Creative Director at Cavinx Studio. “Rather than following temporary trends, this universe has been developed over several years with a long-term creative vision. Every piece of content—whether it is animation, music, or illustration—is designed to contribute to a single, cohesive world.”
European Roots with Global Ambitions
Operating out of Luxembourg, Cavinx Studio aims to showcase the potential of independent European animation on a global scale. Alongside the development of its original intellectual properties, Cavinx Studio also collaborates with companies and creators by providing creative development, visual storytelling, and transmedia consulting services.
The team places a strong emphasis on human-driven creativity, artistic collaboration, and building a community around the project throughout its production cycle.
