MIA | Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo, promoted by ANICA (Italian Association of Film, Audiovisual and Digital Industries), chaired by Alessandro Usai, and APA (Italian Audiovisual Producers Association), chaired by Chiara Sbarigia, under the direction of Gaia Tridente, has unveiled its first lineup of international guests and key strategic initiatives for its 2026 edition.
This year, the market introduces an expanded urban footprint transforming Rome’s historic Via Veneto and Piazza Barberini into an integrated industry hub, connecting content creation, investment, and cross-sector innovation.
Animation Next & Industry Hubs
A key focus for animation professionals, Hotel Sina Bernini Bristol in Piazza Barberini solidifies its role as MIA’s dedicated animation and youth content epicenter. The venue will host specialized programs, including the newly introduced Animation Next initiative and a targeted Gap Financing framework designed to support late-stage animated features and series.
The hotel will also serve as the main venue for closed-door B2B sessions, advisory meetings, and specialized panels addressing production pipelines, coproduction models, and IP commercialization in the global animation landscape.

MIA 2026’s headline conference track will feature exclusive fireside chats with high-profile international executives and creative leadership, including:
- Marco Bassetti, CEO of Banijay Entertainment
