Franco-Belgian production duo La Cabane and Thuristar, creators of Mush-Mush and Luce and the Rock, will present their new original animated series project, Emma Makes Waves, at Cartoon Forum on Tuesday, September 15th at 10:30 AM (Blue Room).
Targeted at kids aged 6–8, the 2D-animated series follows nine-year-old Emma during her first summer away from her parents on a volcanic island with her grandparents and cousins. While exploring her independence, Emma encounters the Pantùs—impressive aquatic creatures who watch over the island and its inhabitants.
“We’re excited to present this new original IP at Cartoon Forum, after the successful pitches of Luce and the Rock and The Wolf’s Dinner (formerly A Lamb’s Stew), both set for release in 2027. Developed between Italy, France and Belgium, Emma Makes Waves is a European collaboration and Cartoon Forum is the perfect place to bring it to life,” stated Perrine Gauthier, Producer at La Cabane.
