As anticipation builds for the FIFA World Cup 2026, the pinnacle of international men’s football, the playing field is also heating up online. The GoGoPig, the animated series created by Italy-based Maga Animation Studio, is at the heart of its soccer-themed season. A weekly YouTube release is guiding children and families toward the global event.

A 75,000-subscriber phenomenon With over 75,000 followers, the official The GoGoPig channel continues to establish itself as a benchmark for high-quality sports entertainment. This season is not just a comeback, but a full technical restyle: the series – previously selected at major international festivals such as Annecy – has been remastered to deliver a high-definition viewing experience.

GoGoPig and Mr. Cat: the perfect team Leading young audiences through the rules of soccer and the values of fair play is the iconic duo: GoGoPig, a piglet with infectious optimism, and his coach Mr. Cat, an eccentric and unpredictable character. Through surreal adventures and unlikely challenges, each episode – available in Italian, English and Spanish – teaches children that soccer is much more than winning: it is a universal language that breaks down barriers and fosters personal growth.

“Human-made” animation: Maga Animation’s challenge At a time when the market is flooded with synthetic, AI-generated content, Maga Animation Studio proudly reaffirms the uniqueness of handcrafted, author-driven animation. The relaunch of the “Soccer Session” is therefore also a manifesto of Made in Italy identity, placing human creativity at the center over automation.

Massimo Carrier-Ragazzi, CEO of Maga Animation Studio, said:

“The response from our 75,000 followers confirms that audiences can recognize quality. We have invested in the growth of this series because we strongly believe in sport as a pillar of health and community. Sport is a powerful tool to help boys and girls disconnect from digital devices and rediscover the value of authentic shared experiences through physical activity. Our little pig conveys a clear message: sport is about physical and mental well-being. It is not about competition at all costs, nor does it require a perfect physique. Sport is for everyone. Its essence lies in breathing, movement and celebrating personal achievements, regardless of their scale. The real challenge in life is with oneself, striving to improve day by day. We want to tell real stories, made of heart, sweat and passion – the same qualities we will see on the field during the 2026 World Cup. I deeply believe in animation created by artists, not algorithms. Every movement of GoGoPig, every gag and expression, comes from human sensitivity, an element no machine can truly replicate.”

A sports ecosystem The “Soccer Session” continues the studio’s successful journey, following the strong reception of its Winter Session (focused on winter sports) released during the Milan-Cortina Olympics. With this programming strategy, Maga Animation transforms GoGoPig’s YouTube channel into a true gym of sports values, turning the wait for the World Cup into both an educational and entertaining experience. A new soccer-themed episode of The GoGoPig is released weekly in three languages on the official YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@TheGoGoPig
