At just 27 years old, Argentine director and creative Julita Conde is heading to the Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2026. As the founder of the boutique studio MIXTA, she is proudly representing Latin America with an Official Selection in the prestigious Commissioned Films category.
While the global audiovisual industry heavily pivots towards Artificial Intelligence, Julita and her studio find massive success by championing tactile, analog, and hyper-artisanal art. Her work is defined by the seamless fusion of traditional 2D animation, stop-motion, and mixed media to disarm viewer preconceptions and introduce deep emotional themes. This duality has allowed her to intimately bridge fantasy cinema with the frantic pulse of global urban and pop music, directing comprehensive creative universes for top-tier artists.
“En el cuarto de Nico” explores themes of imagination, identity, and emotional complexity through a visually rich narrative, bringing El Cuarteto de Nos’ unique artistic universe to life through animation.
