Le Chant des orages (Song of the Storms), a 26-minute animated TV special directed by Caroline Attia Larivière, is among the titles selected for the TV Films Competition at Annecy 2026. Produced by Sacrebleu Productions, Ciel de Paris and Take Five, the project is one of the European productions featured in the section dedicated to films created for the television market.
Set in a small mountain village, the story follows young Émilie, who, after moving to the valley, begins to notice strange animal behaviour during a storm. Together with her friend Manon, she sets out to investigate the phenomenon, uncovering a mysterious connection between the animals’ crises and a melody hidden within the sound of the thunderstorms, audible only to her.
The Annecy selection provides a new international showcase for a project that has already begun its distribution journey through major European broadcasters, including Canal+, RTBF and RTS. The film will also continue its circulation in Spain, where it is scheduled for a theatrical release this October as part of a short film programme distributed by Rita & Luca Films.
With its participation in the TV Films Competition, Song of the Storms highlights the vitality of European animated productions created for television, within a programme that each year brings together some of the most notable works in the field.
