Xilam Films has secured official selections for its upcoming family feature Lucy Lost at the Cannes Film Festival and Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Based on Michael Morpurgo’s novel Listen to the Moon, the film is scheduled for a theatrical release in France on 28th October 2026 via Le Pacte.

Festival Selections and Distribution

  • Cannes Film Festival: Selected for the Special Screenings category.
  • Annecy Festival: Part of the Official Competition following a 2025 ‘Work in Progress’ session.
  • Sales and Rights: Goodfellas handles international sales, while Canal+ and Ciné+ OCS hold pay-TV rights.
  • Partners: Supported by CNC and Région La Réunion.

Creative Team and Production

Directed and co-written by Olivier Clert in his feature directorial debut, the film is co-written by Helen Blakeman and produced by Marc du Pontavice. The project was produced at Xilam’s animation studio in France.

Marc du Pontavice, Founder and CEO at Xilam, stated that these selections reflect the film’s global resonance and artistic ambition. The story follows Lucy, a mysterious girl on a magical quest to uncover the secret behind her powers. Lucy Lost follows the studio’s previous success with I Lost My Body, which earned an Academy Award nomination in 2019.
