As the animation industry prepares for its busiest season, The Animation Journal announces its extensive role as Media Partner at Europe’s most influential winter animation events, providing professionals with unparalleled opportunities to connect and share insights in the upcoming months.
The journey begins with the inaugural edition of EFM Animation Days (12 – 14 February, Berlin) during the prestigious Berlinale Film Festival. This event marks a significant expansion of animation’s profile within one of the world’s leading film festivals, and The Animation Journal will be on hand to capture the energy and innovation of this first-of-its-kind gathering.
The schedule continues with the Kids Summit during MIP London on February 24, where we expect to meet industry leaders to discuss the latest trends and opportunities in children’s audiovisual content. From there, the focus shifts to the Get Animated Conference (2 and 3 March) in London, followed immediately by Cartoon Movie (3 – 5 March) in Bordeaux—a cornerstone event for European animation feature film projects seeking co-production partners and financing.
At the end of March, we will make a stop on our tour in Sharjah, UAE, where we are expanding our presence through a strategic partnership with The Sharjah Animation & Comics Conference (26-29 March 2026), a one-of-a-kind event in this region which aims to connect MENA, Asian, and African Animation in a unique hub. (A dedicated communication will follow about this event.
The journey concludes in Bologna at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (13 – 16 April), where The Animation Journal looks forward to reconnecting with industry friends and partners at the TV/Film Rights Centre. This specialized business area serves as a clear bridge between audiovisual companies and publishers and IP owners worldwide, enabling content deals for children, teens, and young adults.
