CEE Animation arrives at Annecy ’26 with a programme combining project presentations, professional meetings and new initiatives dedicated to promoting animation from Central and Eastern Europe.
At the heart of the programme is the CEE Animation Pitch, taking place on June 24 and showcasing eight projects spanning short films, series and feature films seeking co-producers, broadcasters, distributors and international sales agents: the event will represent one of the key opportunities to discover emerging talent and productions from a region that has gained increasing visibility within the European animation landscape in recent years.
Alongside the pitching sessions, the network’s presence at MIFA will be accompanied by a range of activities focused on developing new collaborations, including professional meetings and networking events such as the Animation Garden Party, organized together with international industry partners.
Also on the programme is the panel European Way of Sustainability for Animation Industry, which will bring together European professionals to discuss strategies and best practices related to sustainability in animated production, a topic that is becoming increasingly relevant for studios, producers and audiovisual industry professionals.
Annecy will also provide the opportunity to introduce Animation HUB, a new online platform developed by CEE Animation to support the discovery and promotion of animated works: designed for professionals, educators and audiences alike, the platform aims to expand the visibility of productions from Central and Eastern Europe and facilitate access to curated content through a dedicated digital space.
Alongside its industry activities, the network also celebrates the presence of several projects linked to its development programmes within the festival’s official selections, further highlighting the role CEE Animation continues to play in supporting the international growth of talent and productions from the region.
